On-going product training is provided, as is the opportunity to advance with the company. This position is a critical part of a small team operating in the US and serving the North American market. It requires strong interpersonal / phone skills, diagnostic abilities, and HVAC and electrical experience.
Job Responsibilities:
Talk to customers over the phone to help diagnose problems
Installs and tests chillers to make sure they work correctly.
Follows installation and operation guidelines and files paperwork properly.
Responds to service requests and can travel to do customer site repairs.
Uses diagnostic tools to determine repair plans.
Teaches customers how to use their chillers.
Escalates issues to managers promptly and as appropriate.
Knows how to use the necessary tools and equipment.
Writes and files service reports after every job.
Collaborates with managers and other service technicians.
Follows all company policies and procedures.
Adheres to safety regulations and industry standards.
Work Hours and Benefits:
This full-time position is based in Westland, MI a suburb of Metro-Detroit. Standard working hours are 9:00am – 6:00pm, Monday – Friday. Travel is required and estimated at 30%. Qualifications:
Previous chiller experience preferred
HVAC-R certified
Electronic and electrical diagnostic capability preferred
Learns new skills quickly.
Excellent customer service skills both over the phone and in person.
Enjoys collaboration and teamwork while in the office and also working alone at a customer jobsite.
Demonstrates time management, problem-solving, and organization skills.
Education and Experience Requirements:
A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
Refrigeration and/or electrical certification is preferred.
